C.A.P.S. continued.....

UPDATE!!!
Thomas Jones signs a 2 year deal with the Chiefs to split time with Jamaal Charles. I like this signing. This gives Cassel another option on offense, and if Charles was able to break 1,000 yards rushing without playing a full season, the O-line seems capable enough to block down front for Jones. He's a weapon, and as always is the case with TJ, he has something to prove. Look for the Cheifs to make strides next season. Especially since their divisions best weapon.....

LT just scheduled a visit with the Vikes. This could be dangerous for the league. Since we all know that AP (why am I initialling every player?) couldn't continue his headfirst running style as the lone back if he wanted to play past 2013, so this would be a great pick up. A smarter, quicker, Chester Taylor to star opposite an absolute bruiser. Think Favre would come back for that? I do.

In yet another insignificant release Mangini may have signaled his own version of the Brady era, as the Browns let Derek Anderson go. I don't know how to feel about this. I mean a few years ago Anderson looked great, now he looks awful. The problem is the Brown's "Brady" is of the Quinn variety, and his hairline has looked sharper than his passes. Is this the guy you want to commit to? The "Arenas" of the NFL. At least Gilbert has a couple of All Star selections under his belt. I am just praying that my immediate fear doesn't come to fruition. Ever since the K-Gun left town, someone loves taking castaways under their belts under the belief that they can re-mold them into a star. (Bledsoe, Flutie, T.O. to rattle off a few) Here's looking at you Buffalo. Let's just stick to our Vick/Tebow '10 campaign shall we.

Speaking of Mr. VH-1, he is reportedly meeting with the Bengals. I have to say first and foremost if this happens, HBO better bring the Bengals back for Hard Knocks next season. OMG T.O. and Ochocinco of Dancing with the Stars fame together! My wish finally came true! I can't wait for these two to battle it out for screen time. Also Cincy, thank you for resigning Tank Johnson. I swear I have eight cousins in Florida just like him. Great guy. As far as on the field, this could be a good thing. Maybe T.O. will take motivation from knowing he's the second best receiver on the team. Something he couldn't seem to grasp in Buffalo. Or, he could not do anything and waste my fantasy pick, like last year. Your call Cincy.

In quick baseball news.
Solid outing for Strasburg yesterday. Wicked bender after wicked bender. Then he smokes 98 high! This kid has it. Maybe I should rethink this whole minors thing. Maybe not, but he'll be up in the Show long before September.
Also, sayonara to Nomah!! Great career. Of the elite SS in the late '90's I always liked him best. Here's to gaining weight and playing second fiddle to Mia.

Lastly, as promised, my favorite analysts decision came down to a tight race. One of the finalists were the tandem of Mark Jackson, Mike Breen, and Jeff Van Gundy. I mean Van Gundy plays little brother to the other two so well I catch myself laughing at times. Mark Jackson and Van Gundy go after Breen nonstop over his lack of direct basketball knowledge, which Breen rebuttals ever so nicely time after time. The winner though by a hair was Walt "Clyde" Fraizer on MSG during Knicks telecasts. I mean how many people can make up this many words in a one game telecast and still be on the air? Please YouTube it if you can. My favorite of all time "There goes David Lee swishing and dishing through the lane." What? Exactly. Gold.

  1. This new came out earlier today, but the Deadskins are talking to Larry Johnson. To Dunn's loyal readers that are Skins fans, buy a gun and shoot yourself. Life would then be easier, cause up in heaven, you can be GM/owner and have your own football team. And yes, I am a Cowboys fan, and Jerry Jones doesn't do washed up talent. Don't even talk about TO. Even now, he is more athletic than anyone on your offense right now. Santana who? You know he wishes he was w/ the Jets.
Anyways, LT, he is washed up. I don't think he can compliment AP at all. Take away all of LT's goal line td's this year, how many would he have? Exactly. Fantasy owners where pissed this year cause Farve took away all of AP's 5 yds to 6. So what would LT do? AP deserves his TD's. I don't care, ever since LT cried like a little bitch when the Pats beat them in San Diego (a game the Pats did not deserve to win, come on, Joey Gallowey is your #1?) I lost a lot of respect. (LT crying) They disrespected our house by doing Shawn "roids" Merriman lights out dance, that's classles. Really LT? The only classless thing the Pats did the past 10 years was when Hoodie walked off the field before time expired when Sam's G-MEN beat them. Every team cheats, so don't talk about spygate. That little pussy Jets coach Mangini broke the NFL code of silence with that one. OUT

  2. Damn it, forgot the Bengals comments. It would be great to see TO and Ochocinco together. Forget about the 'they only have one ball to throw around' quip. Microphones. Yes, we will then have to be worried about if there are enough mirophones with these two on the same squad.

  3. Oh God If you could grant me one wish that would to let this Larry Johnson development go through. I love when things negatively spiral out of control for teams I hate. Comeon Snyder, I know you can do it!

    UPDATE:
So now that the Bengals wrapped up Antonio Bryant for four years what's T.O. to do? I see him finishing his last year in the league on a bewildered Seahwaks team, with Derek Anderson as his QB. Serves them both well. Karma anyone?

  4. Oh and Happy Birthday Lee! Here's to the only person I know that would seriously fantasy trade me Colston for a washed up T.O. (which came back to bite me) and trade our boy P Reggie Bush for Vick (Just because we're from the News), and in turn made THAT work. To Sam the accidental G.M. here's to 29! See you all next week. I'll be on sabatical til then.

  5. Well, it appears that TO is NOT headed to the Bengals, as they have signed Antonio Bryant. While I like Bryant (he's a pretty good WR), he stays hurt. I'm hoping he stays healthy. The Bengals offense just got a boost.

  6. I hear you Zeek. An oft-injured Bryant will give more production than a covered T.O. anyday. But Bryant did have a great year two seasons ago and might stay healthy with the lot of the attention being paid to Ocho. Did you hear about Coles last year? Me either, that's why he's unemployed. Braynt gets 70 catches, easy.
