So instead of breaking down this ridiculous side of the bracket I'll just say this. One would think that Michigan State is simply too clutch and too experienced to lose to Butler. Oh, are they really? This kid Hayward (or is it Heyward, like Iron Head?) is a beast and without a counter (Lucas), Michigan St. could find themselves playing catch up early on. Ever since Mason shocked the world I have hoped to see an absolute underdog win the Championship. With garbage Duke as the front-runner, is this the year it happens? No, because Duke's losing to WVU, and Butler the college will not be able to handle WVU's Butler the player. (My new favorite player in the tourney). But, I can't wait to see the countless Valvano commercials and clips should Butler prevail over Michigan St. What's worse, what if they win it all!? There Jimmy V. goes, sprinting across the floor. Go Wildcats...err Bulldogs.
Final Four- Butler
Champion: The Mountaineers babay! Hey, they beat UK. That's a champ to me.
Now that that's out of the way, let's get to the true purpose of this edition: OPENING DAY IS SUNDAY NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!
My Twins christen their new home with a two game set against my personal baseball nemesis, Marbles' Cards. Target Field get ready to be de-virginized. Oh, there will be blood, just not of the prepubescent girl or Oscar winning variety.

I would really love to breakdown the reason behind each choice, and I will, next week. Soak in the picks and please hit me with your rebuttals. I dare you. Baseball baby! Put me in coach, I'm ready to play dammit!
I'll admit I have jumped on the Butler bandwagon after beating 'Cuse. Honestly, I thought they had a chance filling out the bracket, but picking a mid major #5 seed to the final 4 has bigger brass balls than norm 'the hammer' stanley's (local ambulance chaser in Tidewater). The homefield advantage gives them a fantastic oppurtunity than other years to win a Final 4 game and possibly the championship.
ReplyDeleteHow great is this Heyward kid? The teams big man, AND ball handler. Great fundamental, not the hieght of a Tim Duncan,m but think he will be a respectable NBAer.
Butler's coach, only 33. Could this be the next young Knight/Coach K, you get the picture? I'm saying yes.
Can't wait to comment on you baseball that you wrote, but will waitto you get to it next week, EXCEPT.
Wow, we getta partake in opening your new yard. Why couldn't they do a special interleague? I really could give a crap about games that don't count. But, playing first in a brand new stadium has to be sweeter than a southern girls p____! By the way, Albet could still jack one 440 ft in Minnesotas 35 degree weather.
let's slow down here buddy. i know you are an AL man, thats why i will excuse your shitty picks of the NL. nl east will have the mets as the wild card, phillies will win the division only due to the fact that they actually trumped the mets payroll for once this season. And the nl central, cards chumps, cubs win. pittsburg will be the team to watch.....you'll see. duke will win the title, i don't know why you keep denying them their trophy. oh, did i say screw the cardinals yet?
ReplyDeleteOoohhh, Monday. Monday.
