Federer. Australian for Champion.

So R Fed(couldn't help it) continued his early round dominance by toying with Hanescu for a couple games until he just decided to go all MJ and dominate him in straight sets, because he could. Next up: The Spaniard Montanes, ranked 31, who he'll easily dispose of. Wake me when Roddick is upset, AGAIN, and some new "beast" (del Potro anyone?) comes through like a 14 seed in March and takes a couple giants out. IF Fed can get past Hewitt. And that's a strong if. Things are getting interesting.

Apparently I brought the cash Gods to the Earth with yesterday's barrage of discontent at the millions of remaining free agents. Lee states that this is the case because we have too many baseball players. I, being a die-hard baseball fan my entire life, understand this to be nowhere near the reason.
-Padilla signs 1 year deal with the Dodgers. It's about time. He only was your "force" in last year's postseason. (well until he imploded to the end the series.)
-Joe Blanton re-ups for 3 years/24 million. Who cares? 12-14 4.32 ERA guaranteed next season.
-and my favorite named ballplayer Khalil "he's white" Greene signed a year deal to get hurt for the Rangers.
You know who didn't sign anyone? Bingo. Still looking for that third baseman. Anytime you're ready Minny.
In an unrelated note: Are the days of the "veteran presence" in the dugout a regimen of yesteryear. Teams just don't want to muster up the money to have that quality free agent assistant coaching? Speaking of, what exactly does a bench coach do? I mean was Don Zimmer really invaluable to those Yankee dynasty's? I mean I don't have any idea who the Twins bench coach is and I know EVERYTHING about the Twins. Someone get me Thome stat. I'll sign his free swinging ass.

NBA "in a minute, in a minute" (Who remembers that from USA Network. Or better yet, who remembers USA UP ALL NIGHT with Gilbert Gottfried. I swear I grew up in the best time to be a kid!)

Mo Williams is out for a month so it seems that Shaq might actually have to do something. Or LeBron can just keep doing what he do baby. Yeah. That actually sounds better for all parties involved. Even Shaq. No one wants to see him go down Barkley or John Salley in "Eddie" style and blow a knee gasket chugging all that weight around. Countdown to the new series Shaq: Law Man starts after this season. Speaking of irrelevant Cavs, have you ever paid attention to Danny Green? What a pointless waste of money and resources. It seems like every highlight he's taking LBJ's penis out of his mouth. Every time they show LeBron and him in a sequence, he always has that shit-eating grin on his face like Lucas when Charlie Sheen finally acknowledged him. Has he even played this season. I swear someone in the D league is warming his seat up. How's that Koby Karl/Danny Green combo working out? Terribly.

Pip had his jersey retired by Central Arkansas Univ. recently. Wait? Just now? Is there ANY other significant CAU alumnae/i? Will there ever be? They should have retired that the second he graduated. But anyways, great for him.

A last segue. The '92 Dream Team will soon be inducted into the HoF. I tell you this for two reasons. First: Did you know that Daly never called a timeout in the Olympics. Read that again, NEVER! Throughout the course of every game in the Olympics he never needed to reset the energy, rest someone, nothing. That's AMAZING!!!! Enshrine these mofo's. Secondly: I knew there would be a way to sneak bitch-ass Laettner into the Hall.
And watch. Being that Duke lost another game this week, a million dollars they don't drop out of the top 10. A trillion dollars. God I hate DUKE!!!! J/S

  1. i know that sanchez is the golden child and all, but why in the world is brad smith a reciever? he is tall enough to be a qb, he threw for over 8,000 passing yards, and ran for 4,000 rushing yards in the BIG 12!!!! i dare anyone to find me a college qb in d1 history that did that..or anything close. rediculous. now he is doomed to be that tricky wide reciever, that will have 5 touchdown passes a season, but possibly never have more than 5 receiving touchdowns. because they use him on retarded plays. at least make him your backup qb! i just had to get that out. fuck tennis. there are toooooo many baseball players, does it really matter where you play if you get paid the same contract, no matter if you are on the AA, AAA, or MLB team. there may be incentives for more games in the majors but if you have a good contract why not pitch to 19 year olds in AA. the ods of you making the hall anyway are rediculous, unless you take steroids. hmmmm. why did the cavs even get shaq? i know people think he makes the difference, but lets be real. it's just the fact that he is on the team. shaq could play, and score no points, and no rebounds, and that team would be better. it's the willis reed effect. (go knicks)...shaq could retire for 3 years and come back tothe knicks bench and we would win the east. and no one can deny that! pippen should have had his jersey retired after his first point there. do they even still have a basketball team? oops my bad they do, and their top scorer is mike pouncy, wait a minute doesn't he play for florida? maybe the ncaa should investigate...nah not worth is he only averages 12 points a game! christian laetener once again had put you to shame. yes he beat your famed antione walker to the hall!!! GOAT
